MACOM Extends Diode Leadership with Two New HMIC Silicon PIN Diode Switches featuring Integrated Bias Networks
|The wideband switches are designed for customers who require broadband, integrated, versatile and small switch solutions for communication, test & instrumentation, medical, scientific and military applications. The MASW-011052 and MASW-011053 provide industry leading low insertion loss, high isolation, high power handling and low harmonic and intermodulation distortion allowing customers to achieve high performance in a small form factor. Functioning up to 26 GHz, the switch boasts an integrated bias network and MACOM?s patented HMIC technology providing the customer exceptional reliability.
MACOM?s HMIC process allows the incorporation of silicon pedestals that form series and shunt diodes or vias by imbedding them in low loss, low dispersion glass. By using small spacing between elements, this combination of silicon and glass provides the customer with low loss and high isolation performance with exceptional repeatability. Operating over the 2-18 GHz bandwidth, the switches are a fully monolithic and RoHS compliant.
